Gladiolus L. are beautifully flowering perennials that do not overwinter in the open ground conditions of central Russia. Its varieties characterized by a huge variety height peduncle, color scheme and corrugation degree flowers. The disadvantage this crop is complexity annual digging planting corms. purpose article to study growth dynamics real gladiolus leaves ground. Leaf measurements were carried out after 15 days process growing plants on ridges. objects 9 varieties: 'Aurora', 'Granatovyj braslet', 'Grad Kitezh', 'Devichi tajny', 'Dolgozhdannyj debyut', 'Majya Plisetskaya', 'Tanyusha', 'Shapka Monomaha', 'Noon Moon'. showed most intensive occurred emergence sprouts. On 20th day planting, reached about 1/3 their final height, 35th – 50%, 2 months was almost 90%. Most greatest increase first accounting period, future its value decreased, reaching minimum last period. In growth, taller remained tall, shorter ones stunted. At each date study, tajny' had highest Kitezh' lowest height. obtained data can be used cultivation gladioli nurseries landscaping location.
